Social Security

Social Security was originally designed as a safety net for senior citizens who were unable to support themselves at the later stages of their lives. When first implemented, Social Security acted as an insurance plan. But as time passed, more and more people claimed a greater number of benefits. This has made Social Security unsustainable. In order to ensure that Social Security is there for those who truly need it, we must simply allow people to keep all of their retirement savings if they choose not to receive Social Security benefits. By doing this, we enable retirees who may not need Social Security to help seniors who do.
